What you're actually dealing with

You don't feel weak. You feel erased.

Not a diagnosis list. Just the things postpartum moms tell me in the first ten minutes.

  • Your waist doesn't come back in no matter how many crunches you do.
  • Your lower back is done by noon and you're carrying a kid with it.
  • Your core feels disconnected — like the brace just isn't there anymore.
  • The muscle shape you used to have disappeared and light cardio isn't returning it.
  • You have four twenty-minute windows a week and no room to waste one.
  • Everything aimed at you online is either a crash cut or a walk.

“I don't give women light pink dumbbells or random workouts just to make them tired.”— Sema Gilliam

Firing order: brace, hinge, drive, repeat.

The method

Built like an engine, not a workout

Every component has a job. Nothing in the program is there to fill time or make you tired.

Deep core, rebuilt in order

Transverse abdominis control and rib depression restore real stability before load climbs. This is the part generic postpartum advice skips.

Hypertrophy with an explicit target

Glutes, upper back, shoulders. I analyze movement patterns down to the inch so every exercise has a high-yield purpose.

Conditioning that respects your clock

High-intensity rowing protocols instead of endless steady-state. Short, hard, posterior-chain friendly.

Precision nutrition, tailored to your life

Protein-led macros built around feeds, work, and sleep — not a template, and never a crash deficit.

Firing order

How it runs

  1. 1

    Intake & audit

You tell me where you are: weeks or years postpartum, sleep, schedule, training history, what your body is actually doing. I screen movement and core mechanics before I write a single set.

  2. 2

    Foundation block

Rib depression and transverse abdominis control come first. We rebuild pressure management so your midline holds before we ask it to carry load.

  3. 3

    Build block

Glute hypertrophy, upper body shape, an athletic V-taper, and rowing intervals for conditioning. Progressive overload tracked week over week, not guessed at.

  4. 4

    Hold the line

Recovery, daily metrics, and mindset stay on the sheet. I check them because standard effort gets standard results.

What you're building

The outcome

Not a before-and-after fantasy. The specific changes a structured block produces when you actually run it.

Waist back in

Deep core function plus muscle above and beside it. Shape, not shrinkage.

A core that holds

Bracing that survives a squat, a stroller, and a full day on your feet.

Glutes and back with real work behind them

Progressive overload, tracked, block after block.

Energy instead of wreckage

Stimulus without frying your nervous system on five hours of sleep.

Numbers you can point at

Loads, reps, metrics. Confidence built on evidence, not encouragement.

A standard you keep

The protocol outlives the program. That's the whole job.

Straight answers

Objections, handled

Will lifting make me bulky?
No. Building the amount of muscle you are picturing takes years of deliberate surplus and specialized programming. What actually happens is your glutes and back fill out, your shoulders widen slightly, and your waist reads smaller by contrast. That is the whole point of training for a V-taper.
Will I be judged for where I'm starting?
You are being coached, not graded. I have no interest in where you start — only in whether your numbers move. The plan meets your current core capacity and schedule, and it gets harder only when you have earned it.
Is this designed for me if I'm a total beginner?
Yes. Beginners are the easiest people to progress because nothing has to be undone first. The foundation block teaches you bracing, breathing, and technique before load ever climbs.
I'm postpartum and short on time. How many days a week?
Most clients run three to four sessions. Programs are built around the week you actually have, not an ideal one. Rowing intervals handle conditioning so we are not adding hours of cardio you cannot fit.
Do you do quick 30-day transformations?
No. No 30-day crash cuts, no magic pill protocols, and no fake promises. Real muscle and radical transformations are built through consistency and grit, not shortcuts.
